Welcome to Boston Vineyard’s RTBT!

Welcome!

This blog was created to serve as a discussion forum for people following the Read the Bible Together schedule .  During the Lenten season of 2009, though, we’re going to hijack it somewhat.  We’ll still be reading the Bible together, but now in a slightly different form: what we call a Daily Bible Guide.

You are, of course, still welcome to read the Read the Bible Together readings; but our main focuse will be on the Daily Bible Guide, God and the Nations.  You’ll find those readings under that category name in the sidebar, and titled by day number in Today’s Readings.

The Daily Bible Guide is one element of the 40 Days of Faith.

There will be new posts each day from March 1st through April 12th.   Each post will have 3 sections:

  1. The Passage for the Day (in Today’s New International Version);
  2. Points of Interest–aspects of  the day’s passage that might be especially interesting or potentially confusing;
  3. Taking It Home–practical applications (in the form of prayer suggestions, potential conversations, or things to try) focused on three groups of people: you, your six (six friends who aren’t currently following God), and America.  You can find more about ‘your six’ and ‘America’ in the introduction to the Bible Guide.

If you’d like to comment on the posts, you need to have an account on this site.  To register for an account, send an email to: subscribe@rtbt.bostonvineyard.org.  In the email, be sure to include the following: a) your preferred login name b) your full name (sorry, no anonymous comments) We’ll set you up with an account and reply to your e-mail within 48 hours with a random password you should change when you return to this page.
